Susie Campbell writes poetry across all media and forms. Her books include The Sleeping Place and Tenter (Guillemot Press), Enclosures (Osmosis Press) and I Return to You (Sampson Low).

She has been published in Shearsman, Poetry Review, Long Poem Magazine, Tears in the Fence, Lighthouse and The Interpreter’s House, among many others, and anthologised in Valley Press Anthology of Prose Poetry (Valley Press), Seen as Read Anthology (Kingston University Press) and The Book of Penteract (Penteract Press). She has also written for a number of academic publications.

Through a practice-based poetry PhD at Oxford Brookes University, she researches Gertrude Stein, prose poetry and experimental grammar. Following this, her work scales the relationship between text and textile, an ongoing formal exploration of how the structures and behaviours of cloth might be staged linguistically to open up alternatives to traditional syntactical structures.

She lives in Guildford, where a boisterous puppy can be spotted during online poetry readings.

Susie’s Angry Starlings release in collaboration with Chris Kerr, Echolocation, is available here.
